Wonderfully delicious crust, great atmosphere, upbeat setting, fantastic service, and some of my favorite taste treats make this a one-of-a-kind experience that I highly recommend; again and again!
AMAZING PLACE!! -

Definitely an off-the-beaten path kind of restaurant. Nice vibe. Local restaurant with nice, friendly servers and good eats. We tried several different pizzas with our group of 7. My favorite of all of them was the proscitto and burrata pizza. It was so very good. Burrata was very fresh and light. We ordered another one of these.
You can make a reservation here and they'll set aside a nice table for you. Service was very friendly and prompt. Nice local beers on tap as well as Peroni, if my memory serves.
A little parking lot in front of the restaurant. When it's full you'll likely have to find a spot in the street. A little pricey than your average pizza place, but these are well-made pizzas with high end ingredients.
Reasonable by the glass wines as well. -

I love this place. Great pizza and the best crust outside of Italy. The service is also very good and a super selection of Italian wines.
Definitely my favorite place to enjoy good and the ambience. -

Quite easily one of the best pizzerias I've been to! The pizza crust was the perfect balance of crispy edges and soft middle with the slight droop of the tip. We ordered a pizza with the burrata with the waiter's recommendation, and wow I've never tasted a cheese so creamy and delicious. We also ordered the Scrocchiarella Vegetariana, which I was also blown away by. I think it was the star of the dinner for me. I've never had focaccia like that before, and I don't know what I've been doing with my life until this moment. The veggies were so delicious and very fresh. Adding a little vinegar to the veg took it to an entirely different level. I would eat this on the daily if I could.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is looking for a great Italian restaurant with a very cute, modern interior and an astounding wine selection! I know I'll be back, hopefully sooner rather than later. -

The only negative about this review is that Ambrogio15 is not in my backyard. We drove from PHX back in April for a quick trip to visit La Jolla Cove and other sites in the area. I'm a huge pizza monger and when I see an oven like Ambrogio's on Yelp I had to go. Hats off to my wife for finding this place!
After spending the morning walking along the coast observing the wildlife, we took a random drive in the close neighborhoods to get a full immersive vibe of La Jolla/San Diego. By this time it was close to 11 and the hunt for an authentic place to enjoy an outside lunch was in order.
Thanks to my fellow Yelps we discovered Ambriogio15. It has a small parking lot that is shared with others, but plenty of street parking, too. It hosts a few small tables outside with umbrellas and a large interior and bar. We came early before they opened; yet, Luca, the owner, allowed us to sit outside as he prepped the restaurant to open. Most would have shunned customers off. He didn't. In fact, he went above and beyond to welcome us.
The food? Oh mannnnn!!!!! Unfreaking believable. Fresh, original flavors, care, authentic with sauce and ingredients imported from his mother country. Milan inspired. Craveable, One eating experience for the books that I hope isn't the last, but the first to second.....
